Thriving Together
Five Pillars

Ephraim Williams College Prep (EWCP), a member of the Fortune School network, is a high-performing, tuition-free public charter middle school serving grades 6-8 in Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood. Founded in 2014, EWCP is committed to closing the African American achievement gap by preparing students for future academic success and leadership roles. Named after Dr. Ephraim Williams, who served as pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for nearly 50 years, the school honors his legacy of community service and leadership. Under his guidance, the church grew significantly and became a hub for outreach programs, a spirit that continues to inspire the school’s commitment to excellence and community engagement. Guided by “The Five Pillars” – High Expectations, Choice and Commitment, More Time, Focus on Results, and Citizenship – Ephraim Williams College Prep cultivates academic mastery, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in its students, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.

Fortune School’s comprehensive vision extends from Preschool through twelfth grade, including innovative teaching credential and master’s programs designed for ambitious educators and aspiring leaders. These programs enable you to elevate your career from anywhere, at any time, while contributing to a legacy of academic excellence and community empowerment.
